Plant molecular breeding and genomics

ประวัติ

Dr.Siwaret Arikit is focusing on plant biology and genetics, including the application of biotechnology in crop improvement. He has been working on plant gene identification and characterization by using genomic tools and bioinformatics. Dr.Arikit also has been working on several international collaborative projects, including the “Amborella Genome project”, and he is one of the co-authors in the project’s Science paper. From his works in plant genomic field, he published many papers in the high-ranking journals (e.g. PNAS, The Plant Cell, Nucleic Acids Res). Dr.Arikit just started his work as a young faculty member at the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture at KPS, Kasetsart University. Now he is focusing on rice gene identification and DNA marker development by using various genomic tools.
